Path of Exile 2 1.0 comes out on December 11, 2026 (Pacific time): the game leaves Early Access, becomes free-to-play and adds the Duelist class. GGG reveals more at ExileCon on November 7–8 (New Zealand time). From GGG's own posts, checked October 25, 2026.
Release date
- Path of Exile 2 leaves Early Access on December 11, 2026 (Pacific time) and becomes a fully free-to-play action RPG. [1]
- Until then, playing needs an Early Access key; from December 11 no key is needed. [5]
- The Runes of Aldur league and the Forbidden Rites event run until the 1.0 release and end with it. [4]
The Duelist
Sign-up rewards
- Signing up at pathofexile2.com/register gives free cosmetics at launch: at least one, and up to five if the community reaches all four sign-up milestones. [2]
- Two milestones were reached by October 19, so everyone who signs up gets at least two cosmetic effects. Sign-ups are open until December 11. [7]
- Confirm the sign-up from the email GGG sends; owning Early Access does not count as signing up. [7]
- The codes are emailed after the launch. One code works on one Path of Exile account, on Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox, and can be given to a friend. [2]
ExileCon 2026
- ExileCon 2026 is on November 7–8, New Zealand time — November 6–7 in the Americas. GGG reveals its latest announcements there. [6]
- The whole event streams free on Twitch and YouTube from 12 PM PST on November 6 and 7; the keynote begins at 1 PM PST. [6]
- The race finales of both games are played live on stage. [6]
Early Access supporter packs
- The Early Access supporter packs leave the store in a few weeks, replaced by a set of five new packs. [8]
Not announced yet
- The launch hour on December 11. GGG's 0.5.5 patch went live at 1 PM PDT, but no hour for 1.0 is posted.
- What 1.0 does to existing characters (a wipe): the posts so far only say that the current leagues end at 1.0.
- The Duelist's ascendancies, and whether other classes or acts come with 1.0: the posts so far name only the Duelist.
As of October 25, 2026. This page is updated after ExileCon and on release day.
On ExileDB on release day
ExileDB reads every patch from GGG's update servers, and 1.0 is no different: the patch tracker lists what it changed against 0.5.5, new uniques, gems and passives get their pages, and the classes add the Duelist once it is in the game files. Until then every number on this site is patch 0.5.5's.
